Hunt a large private ranch on the Big Island for Spanish Goat and Spanish Ibex Goat. Both species abound in the rugged country of this tropical paradise. This is an open range fair chase hunt.

The billies weigh around 100 pounds and horns can span up to 30 inches. These animals make a wonderful mount and will bring back memories of your trip to paradise.

One guide per hunter. A maximum of four hunters per hunt. Hunting is available everyday year-round for goats. 98% success rate.

Hunt includes: use of gun, ammo, snacks and beverages. Meals, lodging and hunting license not included. License is only $50 and can be obtained at the ranch. License is good for all game species on the ranch. Hawaiin Airlines has multiple flights per day from Honolulu to Kona International Airport on the Big island. Hunters should fly in the day before their hunt as hunts start early in the morning.

Meat handling and caping is included with hunts. Mounting taxidermy can be arranged by request. There are only two taxidermists on the island so processing times can be long.

$700/animal + $250 trophy for goats having over 20” spread or length - One day hunt. Non-hunting companion may accompany hunter for an additional $50 per day. Hunts subject to Hawaii excise tax of 4.167%.

Hunt the Big Island of Hawaii for Polynesian boars. Polynesian boars are known for their ill-tempers and big tusks. This private ranch has a large population of these bristly critters which inhabit the dense forests and the open meadows. Mature boars average 120 pounds with the top end being around 200 pounds and sport up to 6-inch tusks.

One guide per hunter is the norm but at times may be one guide per two hunters. 98% shot opportunity in recent years. License is only $50 and can be obtained at the ranch. The license is good for all game species on the ranch.

This just may be the “perfect” vacation. Take your spouse and/or kids to Hawaii, and while you’re there, partake in a short hunt for Rio Grande turkeys. The hunt takes place on a private ranch that has LOTS of turkeys. Turkey populations have really taken off on the Big Island as there are no natural predators and limited hunting.

A guide from the ranch will assist you in locating the birds which is an easy matter. One guide per hunter is the norm but at times may be one guide per two hunters. 100% shot opportunity in recent years. License is only $50 and can be obtained at the ranch. The license is good for all game including three turkeys.

Polynesian Boar

This hunt is a combination of Hunt #11-T and Hunt #11-H and allows a hunter to pursue a Polynesian boar and a Rio Grande gobbler. This is normally a one-day hunt but if both species are not harvested the first day, a second day is available at no extra cost. Success rate has been 98% for both species.

Hunt dates are March 1 – March 31.  Hunt days for this hunt are Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays. A maximum of four hunters per hunt.

Hunt the Big Island for 12 species of game birds. Season extends from October through February. Pointing dogs are used to pursue Kalij, blue and ring-neck pheasant, Erkels, black and gray francolin, Chukar partridge, Valley and Japanese quail, Sand grouse, Rio Grande turkey and Lace neck doves.

Hunts are available on a regulated shooting preserve and on open range for wild birds.

Animals hunted on preserve land are regulated by the point system with a maximum of 14 points per day per hunter.
