Only dates left for 2011 are April 19 - 24 - book now!
Hunt the Gould’s turkey in the beautiful Sierra Madre Mountains in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The Gould’s are known for their striking white tail feathers, long beards, heavy weight and their eagerness to answer and come to the call.
This outfitter is an expert at Gould’s hunting and has been featured in many magazines and TV shows. He has over 20 ranches to hunt. Shot opportunity has traditionally been close to 100%.
Hunters fly into Chihuahua City where they are picked up by the outfitter and driven to the lodge which is a little over two hours away. The lodge is the perfect place to enjoy the Mexican culture and hospitality. Up to eight hunters can be accommodated per hunt.
Hunters can bring their own guns but for turkeys it is easier (and cheaper) to use the outfitters as they have an ample supply of quality guns on hand. The outfitter will assist hunters with all the required paperwork and procedures.
Included are: transportation to and from Chihuahua City Airport and lodge, daily meals, lodging, use of firearm, decoys, guides, taxidermy prep, along with required paperwork for transporting your bird back home. You will need to make travel arrangements to arrive in Chihuahua City on Tuesday and depart on Sunday. Hunt begins on Wednesday and ends on Saturday.
4 Day Hunt - $2000 – one bird limit. Hunts are held from mid-April through May. Cost of turkey tag is $200. (If extra tags are available, a second bird may be harvested for an additional fee.)
