Option 1: This hunt takes place on multiple leases in western Colorado. The terrain is from 6000-8000 feet and consists of canyons, pinion/ juniper, alfalfa fields, oaks and aspen. The average bulls harvested on this hunt are 5×5’s with bigger bulls taken every year. Bucks are respectable 3×3 and 4×4 points.

A farmhouse serves as base camp. Hunters are taken afield via 4×4 vehicles to the various ranches. Hunting is by spot and stalk or out of blinds. The hunting method is determined by the property hunted and the physical condition of the hunters. This hunt is suitable for all ages and physical abilities.

Elk archery tags are either-sex and available over-the-counter. Muzzleloader bull tags are via the draw and have been taking 3 preference points to draw. First and fourth season bull tags are via the draw but have been 100% draw with no preference points. Second and third rifle season bull tags are unlimited and available over- the-counter.

Preference points needed to draw a deer tag in 2011 were as follows: 2nd and 3rd rifle season – 70% odds with zero points and 4th rifle season 5 points. If you don’t draw the deer tag and still want to hunt deer, the outfitter can coordinate getting a landowner voucher for you - cost is $700-$1000 per voucher.
