British Columbia Grizzly Bear – Hunt #17-GB

This outfitter only takes 2-3 grizzly hunters per year on his exclusive territory. Past clients have enjoyed 100% shot opportunity. The bears have averaged 7.5 feet with an occasional 8 footer. Skulls have all been over 23 inches.

Hunters will use trucks or ATV’s to get into bear country and then will use spot and stalk methods. Hunters who buy a black bear license will be permitted to harvest one of these as well for no extra charge. Past success has been about 33% on getting a black bear.

Includes: meals, lodging, hotel arrangements in Smithers, field care of meat and trophies and government royalties. Not included: license and tags, hotel accommodations and meals in Smithers, trophy crating and shipping, liquor, tobacco and gratuities.

Getting there: fly into Vancouver and then to Smithers via Air Canada. Arrive in Smithers the day prior to the start of your hunt.

License cost is $180, grizzly tag $920 and black bear tag $170. Also $150 NRHPF fee (Non-Resident Hunting Preservation Fund).

15 Day Hunt - $7500 for 2 hunters/guide plus $3500 harvest fee (on 2/1 hunts, both hunters must be from same party). $10,500 for 1 hunter/guide plus $3500 harvest fee.

There is a 6 % GST on the hunt and harvest fee.
