If you are a non-resident of Colorado and sitting on 9 or more preference points (7 for archers), this is an excellent place to cash them in. Colorado residents will need at least 4 points to draw both archery or rifle. If you don’t have enough preference points, a limited amount of landowner vouchers are available. This hunt sells out fast so book a year or more in advance.

Shot opportunity has been 100% for the past 10+ years.

Hunting is done on public and private land with the vast majority of deer being taken on private ranches. Hunting is done by spot and stalk and stands. Trucks are used to get to hunting locations and then hunting is on foot. This can be an easy hunt or tough hunt depending on the client’s preference and physical abilities.

Camps typically consist of 6-10 hunters with one overlap day between groups. Guiding is listed as 3/1 but is normally 2×1 and is adjusted as hunters tag out.

Non-resident license fees are $361 for deer plus a $10 habitat stamp. Application deadline is the first Tuesday in April. Anyone born after January 1, 1949 must have a hunter education card to apply -  Colorado accepts hunter education cards from other states.

Hunts are held during archery, muzzleloader and rifle seasons. 2nd season rifle hunts typically see more elk hunters on the first part of the season and more deer hunters on the second half of season. 3rd season is mainly deer hunters.

Includes meals, lodging, guides, caping of deer.
