A private land hunt in western Colorado (two different GMU’s) that has a great track record of producing trophy bucks. These properties are not over hunted and are managed so that big deer can be taken every year

The ranches range from 5,000 feet to 10,000 feet in elevation with a wide variety of terrain consisting of cedar and sage up through the oak brush to aspen and dark timber stands, this helps create good hunting opportunities for all seasons. The method of hunting employed is matched to the hunter’s abilities and preferred hunting style.

The number of preference points needed varies by season, GMU and whether you apply for the unit-wide tag or a private land only tag. Please call or email to discuss the options.

License cost is $395 plus a $10 habitat stamp. Anyone born after January 1, 1949 must have a hunter education card to apply – Colorado accepts hunter education cards from other states. Application deadline is the first Tuesday in April.

Includes: meals, lodging, 2×1 guiding, field care and caping of animal, delivery of meat to processor, Montrose airport pick up. 1×1 guiding is available at additional cost.

A bear may be harvested during your elk or deer hunt for a $500 trophy fee – must purchase bear license prior to hunt to do this.

5 Day Hunt - $6000. Trophy fees also apply and are based on score as follows: 170-179 add $500; 180-189 add $1000; 190-199 add $1500 and 200+ add $2000.
