Wyoming Mule Deer – Hunt #26-MD

Hunt the Belle Fourche River drainage along the western slope of the Bear Lodge Mountains. Multiple leased ranches are lightly hunted and managed for trophy class animals.

Bow hunts are held September 1 - 30. Rifle hunts conducted October 1 – 20 and Nov. 1 - 25. Hunting is primarily by spot and stalk.

Bucks typically score from 150-180 and hunters get to look over a lot of bucks if they choose to. A doe may also be harvested for no extra charge other than the license. Shot opportunity has been 100% for rifle hunters and bow hunters.

Lodging is provided in modern cabins. Meals are served in the main lodge. Airport pick-up and drop-off at Rapid City is available for a fee.

Application period for deer license is January 1 - March 15. This unit typically runs 100% on draw odds for deer. A hunter’s safety card is required if born after January 1, 1966.
