Here is low cost alternative to a fully guided antelope hunt. Hunt SE Colorado on a private ranch of 25,000 acres. Archery licenses are over-the-counter and require no draw. Muzzleloader licenses are via the draw but can be drawn as a leftover. Rifle licenses are via the draw and require two preference points - landowner vouchers may be available for those not drawing the rifle license. This is primarily an archery hunt with a very limited number of muzzleloader and rifle hunts offered each year. Crossbows are not legal in Colorado during archery season.

This is an awesome property consisting of open prairie, deep canyons, rim rock and year round water. Resident wildlife includes bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, Merriam’s turkeys, coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions and of course pronghorn antelope.

Hunting from blinds will be the most productive method for archery and muzzleloader hunters. Blinds will be set up near water and/or crossings. Rifle hunts are conducted out of trucks.

Not only are there good numbers of antelope on the property but it holds some very good bucks. I did my recon visit there in the summer of 2015 and saw several trophy class bucks.

Season dates are as follows: Archery season August 15 – September 20; Muzzleloader last week of September; Rifle the second week of October.

License cost is $374 plus a $10 habitat stamp. Anyone born after January 1, 1949 must have a hunter education card to obtain a license – Colorado accepts hunter education cards from other states.

Includes: lodging, private land hunting, blinds in place, pre-hunt orientation and advice from guides. Does not include meals but the house has a full kitchen.

4 Day Muzzleloader Hunt - $1600
